Ever since I can remember, I have been an artist singing and performing starting at a very small age in the music business. Because I was so little, I had a lot of outside influences telling me how to be, and somewhere along the ride, growing up in this musical world, I feel I gave away my power. I believed that I had to fit a mold of what other people wanted me to be as an entertainer, so I was always changing myself. I lived in fear for a very long time that I would never be good enough & I carried a lot of those crazy belief systems with me up until the age of about 18; that’s when I started my coaching sessions with Trina.

I’ve known Trina for many years now as a songwriter, and more recently as a spiritual artist coach. When we came together for a retreat at my house in Utah, I knew that I was feeling unhappy, and I knew that I grew very fearful of the world, but I didn’t know why. Once we started talking however, it was easy for me to open up to Trina in a way because I felt very safe with her. Coming from a place of overcoming her own trials and experiences, I find Trina to be someone I can very much relate to, and I find comfort in that.

With every coaching session, I leave with my spirits high again. She brings a kind of wisdom that has helped me recognize and  shift certain patterns and belief systems that do not serve me. I met Trina in October of 2010 after an all day songwriting seminar. By the end of the day, I was exhausted and almost bailed on the last speaker, Trina Harmon. Only a sentence into her speech, I was completely captivated and totally reenergized. Her words hit me like a ton of bricks. After her speech,  I immediately sought her out and requested to meet with her, one on one.  Being in the presence of Trina is indescribable. Her energy is amazing.

At this time, I was facing federal felony charges and life was weighing down on me pretty hard. I had only discussed this situation with my parents and my best friend. I closed off the other people in my life. When I met with her to chat about music, I could not help but open up to her. Here is a perfect example, of why there is no else who does, or can do, what you do.

When I met you, you were my example of possibility in my SONGWRITING career.... I had no idea I needed or wanted anything else. HA. I laugh now.

If I could just little time with a songwriter who had 'been there, done that,'  who could guide me in the right direction, I'd be great!  Then, I had my first opportunity to pick your brain, and for some reason I was the one who kept talking!  You knew things about me that you had no way of knowing, and before I could stop myself I said, "this is going to sound strange, I know, especially since we just met, but I feel very healed by you."  You laughed and said, "It's not strange at all, it’s what I DO!"

After that, I still wasn't about to pour all my deepest struggles out on the ears of the woman who wrote all my favorite songs!  It was when I saw you speak months later, where you spoke straight to my soul, my heart, my mind.... I couldn’t avoid it anymore.  I quickly booked a session and watched everything I thought I knew morph and change into the world I really wanted.

In our first three sessions, I let go of belief systems that had been so deeply ingrained into my mind, my body had to let them go.  All the sudden I felt attached to my world again, I was inspired again. Money was all the sudden available (Yes, money --> available---- AT NEED------ No effort--- gifts, miracles), I walked out of situations that were no longer serving me, I took RISKS, and -they - looked - EASY.

Best thing I have done for myself....

I really can't describe how much your presentation at the Sound Check series meant to me! What you said REALLY resonated with me - particularly all the stuff seemed to have NOTHING to do with music :)

My favorite line "There are people in this room who have gifts, you know who you are and I'm not talking about music!" WOW! That was so powerful! I had just two days before been talking to someone close to me and realizing because of fear I was ignoring or denying some of my gifts. So you saying that was just very, very cool!

Tonight I was came across that song that I LOVE - and still think it is so cool that you wrote it  - and there you were playing the piano in the music video! How lucky we were to hear from you. How lucky I am to have met you.

And finally when you spoke of sharing what I we have to say to the world because there are people who need to hear it. I realize that I needed to keep writing what I am writing and stop trying to fit into some mold....
